Walking distance to Old Town and convenient to both the I-5 and I-8 freeways. Room was comfortable and clean, although the bathroom fixtures are due for a refresh. They were painting the exterior while I was there, so hopefully the interiors were next. Might be why the rate was so attractive. Nice breakfast with eggs, breakfast meat and a daily special. Waffle maker and breakfast breads of course.

This is a decent hotel for the price... it is just loud. Book the 3rd floor, away from doors. Staff and housekeeping did a great job. I will stay here again taking my above recommendations.

The hotel was very outdated, but the staff was super nice. For a Marriott property, I expected a bit more, but I do see that the hotel is undergoing some renovation. The location was great, if you are looking for a hotel near the airport. The hotel did have a balcony, but when my children stepped onto it, there was a crack in the floor, and the substructure was soft. I did not think it was safe for my kids to be out on the balcony.

Staff were very nice. Unfortunately there was contractor painting going with wet paint and plastic taping. We could not avoid this as there was only one elevator and our room was not ground floor. Felt like we had to walk and walk and to get to the room. Had to walk all over first floor courtyard, get to the one elevator, then walk again thru several doors to get to room. Might be ok in summer or nicer weather but not on cold windy days. Parking not that accessible on street and daily parking fee for hotel garage gets expensive. Breakfast was good. Great assortment of hot food.

This was a good place to stay with our kids. The breakfast was convenient for them and loved that coffee was available 24/7. The room was clean but lacked hot water. We are from the desert so this water was just way too cold for us. Overall the staff was friendly and it was quiet.

The room was clean. The building is a little old but it has been decently cared for. The location was perfect. Close to the freeway so easy access to all of San Diego. We walked into Old Town multiple times. It is rare to get a room with a real door these days and this one had it.

It’s a “ok” hotel. I def had higher expectations for it being smack in the middle of one of the nicest tourist places in San Diego! It’s older, a bit run down, our room smelled like an old motel. Def needs a remodel/upgrade in everything! Bed comfort wasn’t the greatest. Staff was nice. If you dont find street parking, you have to park underground for $30 a night, seems a bit steep for the overall experience of this place. Will I be staying here again? Probably not. Just felt a bit locked in, gated everywhere and can’t get back in without your key.
