The property’s photos were misleading. It’s right next to a freeway, making it constantly noisy, and the paper-thin walls make it impossible to block out sound from other guests. While the price is fair, the amenities are minimal, and the service was awful.
We nearly called the police to shut down a loud party—people were banging on the walls and yelling as well as smoking outside our window until 6 a.m. Despite multiple complaints, the front desk did nothing. They later claimed the attendant was “on break,” which didn’t make sense since we called at least six times over three hours (2am to 5am) from both the room phone and our cell phones.
All in all, the place looks nothing like the photos. There’s no microwave or mini-fridge, and it feels more like a slightly renovated Motel 6. The biggest disappointment, though, was the staff.
Best of luck to anyone who stays at The Rambler, you’ll probably regret it. We will not be back.
