My husband LOVED the breakfast every morning. He loved the variety and raved how good it all tasted. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. We will recommend this hotel and would stay here again ourselves.

We stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites San Clemente for one night. The room was described as having an ocean view — technically you can see the ocean, but most of the view is toward the freeway. The windows were quite dirty, which took away from what could have been a really nice experience. Overall, the hotel is comfortable and the staff was friendly, but it would be great if they improved the window cleaning and provided a more realistic description of the view.

I was having a Grandma/granddaughter night stay by the beach. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. My granddaughter loved how spacious our room was and had fun watching her own TV.

I called the front desk on and off because I was going to be arriving past midnight and no answer. I was traveling and had to cancel an appointment just to make it in time before midnight hours away from this hotel. When I showed up, I called the front desk and heard the phone ring. Obviously the staff don’t bother to answer the phone, and the person at night said he has no idea why no one bothered to answer. Rooms smell musky, parapets looks and smell old and dirty, and you can find stains in every inch of the room. This is by far the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in. First and last time I stay at this hotel.

Horrible experience. Scammed all around.

Upon arriving, we noticed the carpet was wet throughout the room.. soon we realized it was coming from the room above - rapidly dripping from the ceiling and soaking the carpet. We immediately notified the front desk and they, after some time, reluctantly offered a refund, stating that no other rooms were available. We accepted that offer but wanted to be clear we’d be refunded. The woman at the front desk assured me it’d be taken care of, but was extra challenging because the manger was not available and because of the fact that we had booked through Hotels.com. Long story short, Hotels.com and this hotel are pointing the finger at each other and I STILL HAVE YET TO BE REIMBURSED!!! Almost a month later. I will never book through Hotels.com again, nor stay at this trash hotel.

We booked a king suite for one night for $320. At check-in they told us that the air conditioning in the room is broken. It was in the mid-80’s during the day. There was no other room available. When we got to the room they had set up two fans and instead of a king suite, we were put in a handicap accessible room with two double beds. While I was showering I found out the shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty. My wife noticed the outlet by the bed didn’t work. Our room stayed at a consistent 80 degrees through the whole night. We ended up opening the balcony door for more airflow, which cooled the room down to 79 degrees by the next morning. However, our room faced the highway so we had the sound of traffic all night. The hotel comped our $22/night parking fee and told us Expedia could get us a 40% refund. Expedia gave us a 15% credit (only redeemable through Expedia, no cash value) and said the hotel refused to do any other refund since we booked a non-refundable room. All-around bad experience and not the level of service I expect from a Hilton-owned brand.
