While this property is spacious, it unfortunately fell short of our expectations due to maintenance issues and an unconventional layout. Future guests should be aware of several details that impacted our stay:Check-in Challenges: Despite receiving the door code via email, the number provided was incorrect. Arriving late in the evening with no exterior lighting made it difficult to resolve, eventually requiring a call to the host for the correct access code.Maintenance & Cleanliness: Upon entry, we noticed a scent of pet deodorizer. The home is quite dated, featuring aging, poorly vacuumed carpets, uncleaned blinds, and broken drapes. Additional issues included non-functional fireplaces, sagging armchair cushions and the door to the garage has a seal that vibrated loudly in the wind. Lack of working garage door openers.Layout Concerns: The house layout is unconventional. The first-floor "bedroom" is actually a den without a closet, which was inconvenient for our wedding attire. Upstairs, three additional bedrooms (4 total) share a single shower bathroom. Downstairs is even worse, as three bedrooms, a family room, and a theater room share one very cheaply constructed bathroom, located inside one of the bedrooms.Inadequate Sleeping Quarters: Two of the downstairs bedrooms appear to be converted closets without proper egress and are very cramped. Mattresses need to be updated.Maintenance: The garage hot tub area was hampered by a strobing fluorescent light.
