The Astray Motel is perfectly situated for a long, budget-friendly stay in Rotorua. Blocks from downtown and well appointed pair well with a very friendly staff to make for a memorable stay.

We had a fantastic time at the Astray Motel in Rotorua. The room matched the description perfectly and was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. We also really liked the large shower! Practical things like the reliable Wi-Fi, plenty of parking spaces, and the on-site laundry facilities made our stay even easier. The central location is absolutely top for exploring the area and going on day trips. A special thanks to the owner, who was super nice, lovely, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

Was smaller than expected, T.V wasnt too good. Power points were in a weird place for bedside tables. However staff were friendly and welcoming and everything you need is at your fingertips ie.. shops etc. We really didenjoy our stay. Thankyou

Great especially for night bus travel!

Clean comfy bed and hot showers. They let me check in late at night after arriving on night bus. Also let me stay in their kitchen and living room area until my night bus to leave town which helped because waiting for bus is ouside and was very cold. Convenient to walk to bus station too.

I could tolerate the small room and poor cleanliness, but the fact that there wasn’t even a hair dryer was unbelievable. Being unable to dry my hair after a shower was truly frustrating and made me feel helpless.
