We had a one bedroom suite which was clean and spacious. The bed was extremely firm and we did not sleep well. For an expensive room, they did not replenish the coffee pods which I thought was a bit cheap. There was also no crockery, cutlery, or microwave. For a suite, I would have expected some extra amenities - for example, the Rydges in Wellington CBD has microwaves and induction hobs. The pool was lovely and warm and so were the spas, but the spas are old and the plastic is cracked - time for replacements. In summary, this was ‘ok’, but for the cost, I’ll be trying somewhere else next time

We requested for room makeover at 9am (before we leave for our activity). We didn’t not hang any “Do Not Disturb” signs or etc. We informed the cleaning staff who we saw at our level and also the Reception (before we leave the hotel). The cleaning staff said she wasn’t in charge of our wing but she will relay to her colleagues. Reception lady said “not to worry, the cleaning staff will know what to do”. When we came back at 1.15pm, room was not done. It seemed that no information was relayed to the cleaning team. Unfortunately, the team completed the entire level without doing our room. Staff did apologized, so that was good. In addition, breakfast could be better organized by not mixing the lamb sausages with pork sausages in same hot tray. Likewise any meats vs pork for that matter. So that more guests would be able to enjoy the meats.

The property feels quite aged and could use some maintenance. The EV charging station was not operational, which was inconvenient. Rooms are on the smaller side, and the bathrooms need a more thorough clean. On the positive side, the pool is nicely heated and enjoyable, though only one spa jet was working. Families will appreciate the good children’s playroom, which is a highlight.

Staff was great, but rooms specifically bathroom was not cleaned properly. There were hairs everywhere in the bathroom. The glasses were dirty and overall tiles and sinks were not well cleaned.
