Kitchen supplies were fabulous and so many wonderful touches that make this the perfect home for entertaining and relaxing. Loved the playroom, little kids would have a ball! Loved being across the street (short walk away) from a stunning winery. Great porch and space for hanging outside, comfy beds, etc. Would definitely come back! Owner is super responsive and gracious. "This house is the epitome of a peaceful retreat for our family reunion. From the moment you walked in the door, you're greeted with an eclectic decor that's comfy and welcoming. This zen-filled vibe continued outside with TEN cozy outdoor seating areas might seem like too much but they are thoughtfully placed. I wish I had counted the number of ooo's and ahhhh's we exclaimed throughout our stay. Every part of this home screamed, "I'm glad you're here." From start to finish, customer service was A+++. Communication with Lisa, the homeowner, before during and after was always easy and timely. She even left little notes throughout the house to provide the renter with guidance with Wi-Fi, kitchen supplies, and home idiosyncrasies versus it all being in a book that we might not ever read. "In this charming house, every corner holds a surprise. A delight, a feast for the senses, hidden gems that feed your soul. "My husband and I have been exploring VA since our son started college there and found this gem in Afton. The home is absolutely adorable, comfortable and the hosts have thought of everything. While it was just the two of us, several other guests could have comfortably stayed with us. The location was perfect there was lots to do. Charlottesville is a short drive and the area is is filled with breweries and wineries. Wish we could have stayed longer! We did the wine dinner at Farmhouse at Veritas and highly recommend it. The winery is just a few minutes up the road."
