When we checked in, we were given a room with one king-size bed for four people. I went down to the reception desk to request a different room and was told the hotel was at capacity. I showed my receipt confirming that I had booked a room for four people with two double beds, but the woman at the desk seemed uninterested and said there wasn’t much she could do.
I asked if everyone had already checked in, and when she said no, I requested one of the rooms with two double beds—just like my reservation showed. After about five minutes of going back and forth (and some long moments of silence), she finally called a manager. In total, it took about 15 minutes before we were given the correct room.
Once we got to the room, the beds were clean and comfortable, but the floor was noticeably dirty. Overall, the stay started off frustrating, and while the room itself was okay, the check-in experience definitely needs improvement.
