No one was at the desk on arrival at around 7 pm. When they finally came back after 10-15 minutes, the desk person did not greet us or other guests or apologize for the delay.Also, I was not expecting a parking charge, which should have been clear when the reservation was made on Expedia. I wouldnt mind so much if the receptionist had been friendly, but then when we handed him the card, it came up as $100 with no explanation...I had to ask if this was correct and why $100. I felt he should have explained in advance that this was a hold and would be returned. He handed the key...no direction to the elevator or room. No thank you...nothing. Definitely not a pleasant experience. Later in the evening when we came back through, he was still there. No greeting or facial expression. Not the best person for the position! And coffee was not hot this morning at breakfast... Im usually very pleased with Hampton Inn, but won't choose this one again. There are plenty of others here by this airport. We have family within a mile of here and are here several times a year. We will choose another hotel next time and will not recommend this one to family!

As is often the case, the staff are fine, but the design of the bathroom is a joke. Hand -held shower should always be required, but the valve to switch from shower head to hand -held is close to 7 feet. I was in a handicap room. Someone shorter than my 5'11" could never see it much less reach it. And impossible for someone in a wheelchair. There is no hook or peg outside the shower to hang a towel. The shower curtain ends 3 or 4 inches from the shower ledge, consequently the floor will always be wet. And all the soap and shampoo dispensers need another half inch on the spout.
