Both front desk receptionists were ridiculous. The first was some dude trying to look like a woman, starring off into space while talking to me. The 2nd receptionist that I approached the next day completely ignored my existence until I tossed the key cards in front of her to check out. 1 elevator was out of service so it was either stairs or wait 15 to 20 minutes for the other elevator. The bed so lumpy and hard that I only slept 2 hours. Vallet was another freak show who didn't even speak. I expected a much better stay and was mainly let down by the class of the staff. Will never return to this hotel even if it's the only option in Rapid.

Charming Historic Hotel with a Major Setback! We stayed in a two-bedroom suite and were impressed with the cleanliness—comfortable beds with fresh sheets, and a spotless bathroom (no hair in the tub or on the floor). The pub downstairs served delicious food, which was a highlight of our stay. However, we went three full days without hot water, which was a major inconvenience. At checkout, the front desk offered a complimentary Starbucks coffee, but it didn’t quite make up for the disruption. A heads-up: snacks and drinks in the lobby are very overpriced, so plan ahead. While the hotel itself is beautiful and full of character, be sure to confirm basic amenities like hot water before booking.

Charming older downtown hotel with a FABULOUS rooftop bar & restaurant! Nice corner room on high floor, seven big fluffy pillows on a very comfy bed. Smallish bathroom which caused the soap/shampoo dispensers to be knocked off the wall previously. Must've been a very skinny person who installed them. Attentive service, coffee maker actually had LIGHT toast coffee, our fave, very rare, usually muddy dreadful dark roast. Would cost at least twice the rate annywhere else. Interesting 'good, fun downtown fountain square, bronzes of the presidents, galleries, restaurants. Stay there!!!

My room had dirty carpets and debris from the last occupants, and the jacuzzi was dirty. I also found a daily incidental charge of $50 to my credit card with no itemized billing to explain what the charges were for. The price is insane for how run down this place is.

It has so much potential to be authentic to the area. BUT the lobby area was quite worn looking. Front door had leaves etc. when we arrived at night - We came down in morning and mess was still there. I was certainly expecting more from a Bonvoy. Drinking glasses were left at the elevator openings and still there when we left 2 days later. The bathroom needed a good scrub ! The 2 places to eat were loud - and had strange hours for dining. The good parts: rooms were quiet and beds fabulous. There was a hugh Starbucks that was entered from the lobby which was wonderful. My suggestions: ! get a good cleaning staff and 2 a manager that takes pride in how things look!
