The Room has some old details (issues). I've paid for 4 person but everything was setup for 2 people so I need to ask for extra water and towels (they didn't charged for it). A loud sound from the toilet can be heard sometimes (like water pressure issues). Wifi was terrible and didn't worked all the time. The info about the hotel is poor and hard to find. A good software can help this problem easily. For example: There's Ice Cream in the Cevicheria but You can't find this information anywhere. Almost everyone was helpful and smiling. The food was ok. Nothing fancy but fresh and good taste. The Italian Restaurant was perfect 10/10 (and is free for a day) Pool temperature was nice. Pool for the kids with some problems like an isolation yellow tape in one of the sliders for the kids. Overall was a fantastic experience. You don't need to leave the hotel because everything is included.

Only 1 place to eat aside from the al la carte meals , food was sooo gross barely ever changed the variety , I lived off French fries and pizza , they never played music barely at all pools were closed by 8 pm and only 1 bar would be open till 10-11 pm , the room got cleaned daily so that was good but overall not super impressed by the hotel …

The room was very poor quality. The pullout bed was a 0/10 and we had to pull a mattress off of another bed in order for our daughter to sleep on it. We had no warm water for the entire week. Everyone in our group got sick from the food.
This is us adding a mattress to the pullout bed. The mattress on there was worn out and maybe 2 inches thick

After we checked in, we realized there was not hot water. When we went to the reception we were told that we could take a shower in a different room or pay$238 for a supposedly an upgraded room which was smaller. We didn't come camping and wasn't going to get to be conned in paying more for a room that was half the size as we booked. If this is their practice I hope other people don't stay here. After my wife complained they moved us to another room which was adequate for our stay. The food was so so. The grounds were nice, but we won't be coming back.

We stayed in the older part which was fine you get an apartment with a full fridge. So dont fall for paying for one. They do not stock tour fridge at all but theres lil stores across the way an a liquor store down the street. We had cold water the whole time so it was torture to wash your hair. Apparently the boiler broke. Our friends paid for the upgraded room it was so small an no balcony so they switched to over by us. The pool over there is nice n quite, the main pool is loud an so many kids. But the cevechira is the best part of this resort!! Def go everyday! This is a old resort the rooms are very dated, there is only 1 buffet so it can get very busy an not much selection. Youll find something to eat. When i booked this i knew it wasnt going to be fancy we just picked it for location. Theres no disco but the people at the lobby will play music for you if you want to dance. Also there very strict here about having a lid on your cup if your in the pool so either pack a travel mug or go to the store across the road an buy a yeti for 22$ cad. The alacarts were actually decent the Italian was the best one. I will say the staff is very attentive here an they do work hard at keeping the grounds clean an looked after. Would i recommend this hotel? No would i return? No is it the worst place ive stayed ? No its like a 3 star at most. Not terrible but not great. Location is fantastic though 10$ to get to the malacon theres 2 karokee bars near by, massage places across the way.

Too many people in property at times. Very limited food, the buffet is packed and the options are very limited and no flavor. If you want to go there to relax and eat good this is not the hotel you want to stay in.

The rooms were very outdated and not clean. The first room I was in had a hairball in the shower and black stuff on the bathroom mirror. When we walked in our room, there was a lot of visible mold on the floor. The air wasn’t working. We moved to another room and the hot water and a/c weren’t working. It was much cleaner. The next day the hotel moved us to another room (we didn’t ask to be moved) and it was perfect except the sheets smelled like mildew. (We were tired and didn’t say anything) 😩The food options were very minimal and the food at the specialty restaurants were not good. The drinks were very watered down. My family gave staff a very nice tip for working to put the 49ers game on for us. The bartender in the lobby had an attitude when they ordered shots while watching the game. Other than him, the staff were very nice. We got a massage across the street at the pink spa for $25 usd and it was the best!

We were in the Villa side, which seems older and a bit more worn but the beds were comfortable and we had good water pressure in the showers. The food was better than most all inclusives I’ve been to, with exception to the Asian restaurant. The general service from staff was excellent! Housekeeping was a little off, we had trouble getting towels and floor mats. We liked the 2 smaller pool areas. It would have been nice if there was a bar set up in the lower level pool, but the staff was very attentive.

This was my fourth visit to canto del sol and will be the last. There are cockroaches so make sure you don’t get an unwanted guest to bring home in your luggage. Drinks served are so weak we finally did what everyone else was doing and bought our own bottle to add some kick. Many teenagers running wild in the halls. My wife was knocked over. Partying in the halls until 3 am. Security did not care. My bed squeaked every time I moved and woke me. Ask for help at the front desk but was ignored.
