Questionable room cleanliness

The hotel has good bones, but they need to do a deep clean. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, but it clearly had only a cursory cleaning. In the bathroom I found hairs and mold in the shower. The carpet in the main room needs a deep cleaning to remove stains and general foot traffic. There were also crumbs on the floor indicating perhaps it hadn't even been vacuumed. The nightstand shelf was dusty also indicating only cursory cleaning between guests. The bed was comfortable and clean, but the sheets were too tight on the bed and the corners kept coming off. It's a great location and the hotel could be great if they did a better job of maintaining the hotel. Lastly, they provide a $10 credit at the restaurant on the ground floor. I had the pot roast and mashed potatoes, which were ice cold. Net, don't bother when there are so many great restaurants in Portland.

The room was outdated. I arrived an hour before check in & they wanted to charge a fee to check in early. The hotel restaurant closes early. There must be nicer hotels in the area than this. Looked like a Best Western.

Great location (centrally located, walkable, great public squares nearby, parking available) and really nice room. Loved the little balcony, nice place to sit and unwind. Friendly, helpful staff! We stayed here a few years ago and hope to be back soon!
