Great staff, very welcoming, both James and Jag. Nice and clean room. Had everything necessary. Facility itself and carpets in common areas shows their age a little, but for $40 less than other hotels in same area and free breakfast it's a deal.

The service was amazing - we were greeted and treated in a very friendly manner. The condition of the room was subpar. We had looked forward to showering upon arrival; however, the towels appeared clean but stained so we decided not to. The carpet also appeared old and dirty - enough so that I hesitated to go barefoot. The sofa was old and worn and, again, we weren't sure about its cleanliness.

The only reason for my 4-star rating is that this was the darkest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in! Even when we left mid-morning on a cloudless day with every available light on and the blinds wide open, it was too dark to read the control panel on the air conditioner. It seemed like every bulb was about half the wattage needed for adequate illumination.
