I cannot say enough great things about our stay in Verna and Rich's place. We were there a week and did not want to leave. The condo is very spacious and thoughtfully decorated. Luis was our concierge and met us at the security gate and showed us our home for the week and told us all about the home and how everything worked. If we needed him for minor things during the week, he was readily available. The patio with the most amazing breezes was our happy place if we weren't out by the pool. And this pool! It's like nothing we have ever seen before. Very well-maintained and massive in size. There were easily 20 families there each day and everyone still had their own space. The beach was a short walk, which I preferred because I needed to get my steps in. This week the first 4 days had seagrass down at the beach but the staff worked diligently on clearing it out and by day 5 we were in the water. It just gave us time to do things away from the condo, like the Xcarat water park, like 20 mins away, and also an all-day excursion to Isla Mujeres. A few evenings during the week we drove to downtown Playa Del Carmen and walked around the little shops, ate some dinner and just enjoyed the local vibe. Unless you are planning on staying at the condo your entire stay, you’ll need a rental car OR get an uber. There’s a local grocery store that has got everything you need. I can’t think of anything negative to say. It was just LOVELY! Thank you so much!
