Overall we had a good experience, Staff was very nice and helpful. Atmosphere was relaxing and calm. We enjoyed the amenities that were on offer. A few issues we had that will probably probably cause us to book something else in the future: * Food is extremely expensive at this hotel, just absurd prices on some pretty basic options. * We brought our tennis gear only to find out the court rental fees are $78 per hour. Given that tennis courts are mentioned in the amenities, a fee should not be charged at all. * At times we noticed a strong smell of sewage in certain parts of the hotel.

The moment we pulled up with our driver, we were in paradise, with flowing waters, bright highly maintained jungle foliage, & a welcoming team that gave us a Mayan welcome! We had the most amazing time at the resort. The room was white glove cleaned twice a day & evening turn down services. ALL staff members knew our name & greeted us very hospitable & got to know our likes & dislikes by memory. This was our first experience out of the country & what a memory it is! We made some awesome new friends from New York, we're from Arizona, & we're planning our next trip there already! Oh, & talk about accomodations, every & ALL accomodations were met, not only for us, but for each guest on property. No processed foods & I found that I'm obsessed with a lot of tropical items I've never had...the breakfast was literally... Great hotel, wonderful staff and facilities. I gave 4 stars because the food was really expensive. I understand a mark up but the cocktails are $30 and over $200 for a steak at the Sands Beach Club. A bottle of champagne was over a $1,000. Come on guysā€¦..
