Good for the price?

Loved the front door onto the beach. Beds were ok. Floor was marble and there were some roaches. People on the beach were a mix. Some nice, some loud and obnoxious with music late into the night, some smoked on the beach the whole time. Real mixed bag. Good for the price i suppose.

Gem by the beach

Room were clean and well maintained. looks like it was just renovated and painted, The views from the balcony was lovely. The fact that the beach was mere steps from my room gets an A+ from me. My kids enjoyed the pool. And the staff were friendly It lacked space to eat on a table for a family of 4 and the bathroom was small. I would go back for a solo trip. I would also recommend for a quick overnight stay or longer.

They had a plumbing issues tub was backed up had to ask them to Clem our bathroom the next day . They only clean your rooms every 4 days . So u have sand in your room no clean towels for garbage removed walked through stuff spilled for days outside . Phones didn’t work to call down . Just poor service they could have told u this . Way too much money for the rooms . They are working on up grading there rooms no one speaks English when u ask for help . Nice spot and needs some up grades for sure

Location, location, location!

This place is all about the location. The views and proximity to the gulf were fantastic. The people were friendly and courteous. We appreciated the updates in the actual sleeping area. The bathrooms are in serious need of a remodel. Dirty dishes in cupboards in kitchen.

Our first beach trip during spring break, normally we go in the fall but other than the hotel itself we fully enjoyed the beach and beautiful water. My daughter loved swimming and collecting seashells. My son wasn't a huge fan of the sand at first. I've never had a bad experience at a resort that I could recall, but the check in process was unreal for me. The lady at the desk was very unpleasant and did not seem to want to help us. We arrived a few mins before 4pm and to start there was a line of people out the door. My husband and friends husband stood in line till a little after 5 and was told rooms weren't ready. She said maybe 30mins to hour. Alright so we go get a few things we need at Wally world (walmart). Then continue to say only one room was ready but would upgrade us to a bigger room for all of us. However, as it turned out there were no more rooms ready or available. Here we have 5 kids and 2 of them are under 3, tired of sitting in the car. We finally got it sorted somewhat close to 8 that night I guess to the best we could at that point. We decided to just come back in the morning to talk with the general manager. The room wasn't too terrible I mean could be worse. I misunderstood the website, I thought it had been renovated but I feel like it was in the middle of it maybe, I don't know. But we were on the beach and kept us stock on towels when we needed them. My husband went back the next day and got to speak to the GM and he was really nice and helped a lot.

The bathtub drain was so clogged with other people’s hair, water would not get hot #coldbath. Hair seeping through the drain as i was taking said cold bath. Sand in our sheets, WE NEVER WENT TO THE BEACH.

Overall nice stay

The stay was nice. Right on the beach. Pool area was nice with a bar poolside. Front desk staff was nice. Only complaint was the room was not ready when we got there but they gave us free drinks and a food voucher to make up for it. House keeping was rude to the front desk clerk for asking her to take some towels to a room that called for service. The clerk still handled it very professionally. Overall a nice stay. Would stay again.

I liked that it was right along the beach ,the pool was good for the kids the tiki bar was nice and the staff at the tiki bar was excellent, other staff was okay not rude but not helpful, tried to get towels 4 different times ,stayed 3 nights and never got anymore towels. Called front desk but still didnt receive any towels. Room was mediocre but not terrible. It was loud but it cant be helped because there it comes from Harpoon Harry's next door..
