So very disappointed.

There was no AC, no water, and the lobby flooded from a pipe burst. We didn’t even stay the night and we left around 8pm.

walked in to check in and water was starting to trickle from the ceiling lights. before we could even check-in, the lobby and main area started to FLOOD from the increase in the amount of water coming out. we were also told no AC in guest rooms and no water in the rooms either. cancelled before we checked in.

When we showed up Friday evening we checked in easily and quickly and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The room was clean and spacious. Off to a great start. Things took a turn Saturday when our AC stopped working; we noticed the side of the parking lot we were on started flooding due to the surge of water from inside the hotel somewhere to the lot; when we went back inside we realized the water was not just an outside issue but a whole second floor issue as the ceiling on the first floor was down pouring. They also chose to do very loud very inconvenient renovations to the hotel on a busy Saturday? Including putting up framing and drywall and cutting out archways all in the lobby and lobby bar. This made the amenity of the lobby bar off limits simply due to noise and dust. When my husband went to tell someone about the error message on the AC in our room he was quickly dismissed with staff stating they knew and were working on it (with no apology or estimated time line). The hotel was decently located and priced for what we needed but there was also a lot of inconvenience and chaos.

I requested an iron and it never came. Pool is nice but more beach chairs would be nice on the grass area. Over all, clean hotel, they have Starbucks which is nice, since. Staff are professional and helpful. Hotel is clean.

Hip hotel with a few cons near Universal

Hip place to stay for sure. I love that they give you a $15 credit for food per overnight stay. If you need to extend your stay last minute they’ll happily accommodate you. If there are any issues they’ll also promptly rectify them. Location is in a very busy area but close to Universal. Bed is super comfortable and room is clean! Parking per night is $35 which is a bit steep for those on a budget, JUST FYI. There is also construction going on and dehumidifiers everywhere but they do not affect your stay at all! The only issues I have had are very minor: 1. There was loud music with bass that reverberated thru my room on the first night (couldn’t figure out where it was coming from) but the person at the front desk helped without issue. 2. There was mold on some of my bathroom towels (I was given new towels). 3. The bathroom has a scent of cat urine but it comes and goes (unsure if it is mold related). I’m allergic to mold but haven’t had any allergic reactions thus far but have taken Zyrtec throughout stay. 4. The door to the a/c closet in my room kept rattling so I had to put a chair up against it to keep it from rattling. 5. The far right side of the blackout curtains do not adhere to the wall as the sticky part needs to replaced, so there is light coming in. 6. The candy bar isn’t fully stocked. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! I do recommend this hotel, but bring earplugs, a sound machine, and an eye mask just in case! :)
