Very convenient place to stay right at the zócalo found a better deal just one block from el Zocalo hotel name is hotel Santa Rosa much cheaper and cleaner for haft of price. However I do recommend this hotel

My main issue is that staff followed us into our room one night asking about the number of people in the room. Our friend was with us briefly after being separated from her partner that night (she was staying at the hotel too on a different floor but didn’t have her key). Staff should not be following people or monitoring who can enter a room THAT I PAID FOR. Ridiculous to violate our privacy in this way.

Weirdly, you are unable to allow a friend to visit you at the hotel. They only allow registered guests in the room. We wanted to have a quick drink with friends in our room as we prepped to go out but the hotel wouldn’t allow anyone in. I’ve never had that restriction anywhere else in the world
