We loved the central location of this property, along with the lovely gardens and pool at the end of the day. It was the perfect hotel while staying in this Colonial city. While the rooms weren't fancy, the property had so many cool areas to hang out in both indoors and outdoors it was a great trade off. Our room overlooked the garden/pool area and I can see where that would be a must to ask for instead of something facing out to the street or inner courtyard. The staff were helpful and we would definitely recommend the hotel to friends.

Casa de la Tia Tere is a treasure. It is family run, the owners live on the premises, and the staff are very friendly. It is in the Centro neighbourhood, close to the main points of interest; so you can explore in the morning when its cooler and chill by the pool in the beautiful courtyard in the hot afternoon.

The breakfast came with the price of the room. Every day they provide two different breakfast choices with fruit, coffee and juice. The ladies cooks were nice. Remember to give them a daily tip.

Beautiful pool area, good included breakfast, excellent location, cleaned well. The only real negative for me is the mattress was uncomfortably hard (seems to be a thing in Mexico). My room was on the dark side so I recommend booking a room overlooking the pool. Overall a nice place.
