Overall we were very happy with the resort. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and very clean, and the water pressure in the shower was better than any resort we've stayed at in Nuevo Vallarta. There were numerous dining options - the steak house and rooftop restaurant were both great! - but it would be lovely if the buffet expanded its offering and variety (for example, a pasta bar at dinner) and also if it remained open every night (it was closed for dinner four out of the ten days we were there). The beach is spectacular with plenty of chairs both around the pools and on the beach. We did have to wake up to get them but you could easily find chairs anytime of day if you weren't picky about location. The one downside was the fact that special event evenings like Superbowl and Valentine's Dinner were offered but charging guests who have already paid for an all-inclusive vacation seems very inappropriate to me - especially since it was over CAD$100 per person. Finally, the best feature of this resort would definitely be the PEOPLE. They were so friendly, funny, and helpful. Angel helped us on day two, making sure our jacuzzi tub on our balcony (wow!) was repaired in an hour...Geraldo on the beach made sure every drink was perfect and speedy...Brenda at the Italian restaurant...and so many others!

The staff and rooms were good We were there with friends on Superbowl Sunday. They had a space for you to watch the game with food and drink for an extra cost. Have been to many resorts on Super Bowl Sunday and never had to pay for the party. The worst part was that they turned off all the TVs in the bars so you could not watch it. If you did not pay you had to go to your room. Was very disappointed we paid for an upgrade on the all inclusive and they wanted more.

Terrible food selection and meals inconsistent throughout the stay. It was inconvenient to not have all restaurants including the buffet open every day. The buffet options were very limited as well. Our room was neglected for 3 days which was very disappointing. The lack of pool entertainment throughout all the pools was also disappointing. I do not plan to stay here again.

The staff were amazing! Our friend Ernesto at the buffet was the best. Greeting us every morning with a smile and good laugh, truly amazing service. Gerry (Gerardo) Was our friend at the pool and was so friendly and couldn’t ask for a better experience. The resort was ok , Little disappointing as was not aware that the resort is shared with Time share residents. 3 pools were available first being warm and located close to building. 2nd one was perfect temp and 3 rd was close to the beach and was freezing cold. Due to the setup of the buildings the sun would not hit the pools till about 11-12. Was used to having music or activities at pools during the day but there was nothing going on so if wanting a very quiet area with zero activities. this is for you. Buffet is small but good in morning. I found lunch menu was disappointing. Lots of potential on resort with the space they had but didn’t seem to use it efficiently. If your looking for a quiet no activity resort then this one is for you

My sisters and I stayed here and would definitely stay again staff was amazing food was really good, we loved the options of three different pools, the beach was great! The only thing we would suggest is more pool chairs and maybe not the beach cabana by the volleyball net!

This resort was amazing. The room was spotless every day, all the staff were incredibly kind. Gerado stood out the most to us he was very nice and made sure we were taken care of every day when we were at the pool. I proposed to my now fiancé on this trip and booked a private beach dinner and also had our room decorated and Alejandra made sure everything was set up for that and made the night stress free, she was very kind to us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I have stayed in FA PVR several times so was excited for this new opening in Riv Nay. I anticipated some hiccups because of this new ownership and so there were many really good parts to the stay and several areas for improvement. The grounds and pools are emaculate - constantly being cleaned.The surrounding concreted areas need a real power clean. Great security around pool area and kudos to the guard that wears the camo hat - he is constantly on the move, tidying up, identifying problem areas, looking out for safety issues!! Not enough chairs and lots of empty spaces!! And the brown rattan chairs should be replaced. - no wheels, or one missing wheel or holes all over. 95% of the staff were GREAT - friendly, smiling, helpful and really made the effort to ensure an enjoyable stay so i don;t want to mention just a few names. There were others, usually in the a la carte restaurants that gave the impression the sooner you were in and out the better. Fresh fruits and salads and bakery area had lots of fresh choices but needed better monitoring (frequently no margarine, jam, no cups or glasses, serving spoons etc) Hot entres were hit and miss - e,g, covers left open so everything got cold, eggs station great and efficient. Ala carte, very inconsistent in quality between appetizers and main and quality in general. Pool service was generally very good. Rooms very spacious, oddly furnished though, glass shower and toilet area needs major refurbishment! AC worked great!!

Resort is very nice with several large pools and nice sandy beach. Nightly entertainment and complimentary use of boogie/body boards. The staff are excellent from Edgar at the front desk, to Froylan/Daniel/Rosario/Irnesto/Fabiola and amazing Omelette chef Mario at the breakfast restaurant, Arturo (Shaquille) at the beach bar and Ezekiel/Alan as the entertainment hosts. Each one of them made a special effort to get to know us during our stay especially Froylan and Arturo. The rooms were nice also. A good variety of restaurants but this is also where some improvements could be had. The food was good but one critique would be there is some inconsistency in dinner service across the restaurants with orders getting missed on occasion. Breakfast was great (go see Mario) and lunch at the fish taco place was great. Inconsistency mainly at the steakhouse although the Salmon there was very good.
