Inexpensive, allowed dogs, (understandable pet fee - but was not too high, just $25 extra).
Room was nice, but tub was odd - water trapped under tub liner, felt like standing on a water bed. They'll have to fix that.
Breakfast was very good - eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, OJ, coffee, tea, cakes, fresh fruit (and it was nice, fresh and cold!). We were planning on going to the iHop down the road, but the breakfast here was fine - ate some and went on for our plan of hiking. Lobby nice, grounds OK, big party the night we stayed so we didn't see any 'odd' types. I guess with a depressed rust belt town like Newburgh you might get 'unsavory' types at some of the cheaper hotels (maybe some offer themselves out as local homeless shelters?? I don't know), but it was OK for our night. A/C, fridge, Microwave, TV, bed all were good. Pillows - no, bring your own if you are a bit picky like me (way too overstuffed with fiber, I like mine denser and flatter.) David, the manager (?) was SUPER helpful and friendly. For a hotel to crash in after a long day of hiking upstate - they did a GOOD job.
