- hotel lobby smelled of body odor - bathroom towels were made of cheap very poor material - first towel pulled off the rack had a clump of hair in it - bathroom cabinet above sink looked like NEVER cleaned ... greasy, dusty, dirty - toilet tissue was just hanging there not a neat fold indicating toilet was cleaned - hotel room walls were all dirty & scratched - someone had removed something on a wall and the holes in the wall were not repaired just leaving a hole in the wall

Good value, good area, safe for a solo female traveler with some late night and early morning walks. Staffed subway station on the block (line 1, Rector St.). The actual room could be improved: leaky shower pan, cracked outlets.

The room was clean and spacious. A/C and heater both worked well. Room had a blow dryer (which wasn't stated) and long has basic brewed coffee. Overall we thought the stay was great for the price

Not a Real Hotel – Slanted Floors and Poor Setup

This is by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed. It shouldn’t even be called a hotel — it feels like an abandoned building that’s been hastily converted into one. The biggest issue is that the room floor isn’t even flat; it’s visibly tilted, and the bed slopes at nearly a 30-degree angle. There’s no carpet or tile — just bare concrete. I can adjust to many things, but a slanted floor is unacceptable. What’s worse is that when I asked for a different room, the staff said “every room in our hotel is like this.” That says it all. This feels like a complete scam — a run-down property marketed as a hotel to unsuspecting guests. Expedia and Hotels.com should seriously reconsider listing this place.

Loved the area. Hotel was simple enough with limited amenities. My room was fully cleaned with trash on the porch and only one towel. Took a while to get more and the staff wasn’t the most helpful.

Tribeca Hotel FiDi is completely adequate. The check-in process can get a little backed up, so pack your patience. You may also wish to bring a long an absorbent towel, because the ones provided are adequate, but not thirsty. The housekeeping is very good. My trash was removed each day without me having to ask for it, and my towels were replaced for clean ones.

The room was spacious and clean, but the water pressure in the shower was really weak and the hotel lacked double glass windows and being in a very busy and noisy location, it was hard to sleep at night, too much noise in the street and in the adjacent rooms. The location is great though, next to metro station and walking distance to attractions and good food.

The only good thing about this place is to stop. They are very kind. This was the former King’s College dormitory and that’s what it feels like. Very poor sheets and the doors do not shut correctly so you have to slam then We noticed everyone on our floor at this condition. Low quality for the price. There are many other better hotels in the financial district neighborhood to choose from.

It was close to everything in lower Manhattan. Close to all the Ferries and sites as well as the subway. The room didn’t look or feel clean. Concrete floors were sticky. The staff were helpful. I would not stay here again for the price and location.

Great location to check out the Battery and statue of Liberty. Also walking distance to Brooklyn Bridge. Room was decent size. Bathroom super slippery and no bath mat so wouldn't be suitable for anyone elderly or infirm.

I booked for two people. There was one towel and one wash cloth in the room- had to ask twice for more linens. The walls are very thin. We could hear the party across the hall from us all night long. The rooms are described on the website as luxurious. They are far from that! However, the bathroom and bed were clean. The cement floors, the cabinets and closet door were in rough shape.

I was a little uncomfortable with the curtain in the room being so stained/discolored with Lord knows what and how thin it was for being the curtain to a shared balcony with the next room over. The floor was a little sticky, not sure what that was about. Check in was easy and the closest parking garage was fairly priced/walking distance. The hotel location is ideal for visiting the lower manhattan, especially ground zero area but overall I’m not sure if I would stay there again. The price:cleanliness was poor and that should be a bare minimum expectation.
