The staff went out of their way to help us. The room was lovely and the bed supremely comfortable. We loved the inclusion of free walking tours AND free delicious grab and go breakfast!

We enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t book the hotel again for our next visit to NYC. The room was very small, even by NYC standards. The hotel is beautifully decorated with old school art deco vibes which is what appealed to us. We’d read about the excellent and friendly service but sadly we didn’t really experience this. The service at check in was quite cold. When we mentioned we were on honeymoon there was no ‘congratulations’ just a ‘I’ll note the file’. Guest relations did send up a hamper with a free bottle of wine and some treats afterwards which was a lovely touch. But as a VIP property the bottle of wine was included anyway. The tusk bar is clearly very popular with locals, it was packed full but felt quite pretentious. It seems to be the place where local influencers go for pictures. This seems to go with the vibe of other guests staying at the hotel, no one was particularly friendly. Location wise the hotel is fine, it’s within walking distance of many local tourist sites and subways. I’d classify our overall stay as ‘fine’.

Well, they said they were gonna give me an upgraded room so they they put me right next to the elevator between the elevator and the kids on the same floor it was a noisy night no sleep. Plus the bar didn’t open till 8 o’clock because of an event and I had five people meeting me at the hotel at 6 o’clock for drinks so we had a change our plans not happy.
