I have stayed at the Evelyn before and each time, services, food, and accommodations were top notch. Front desk, concierge, restaurant, & bar staff are all quite good - personable, professional, helpful. One thing that prevents me from providing full marks is the housekeeping staff... although room was well-cleaned, the housekeeping staff held loud conversations in the hallway. This was disruptive, particularly in the mornings. That aside, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Fabulous hotel and staff, always helpful and willing to help. My only gripe was the noise from the street below, the buildings opposite is having some renovation work and the noise level started quite early in the morning, not the hotels fault but worth mentioning if you get assigned a front facing room and your a light sleeper this might be a problem. Apart from that it’s a nice hotel…

The Evelyn is an absolutely lovely boutique hotel! The reviews mentioned that it had been recently renovated, and, as an interior designer, the property was beautifully redone. The decor captures the Art Deco style, with a clean, modern twist. The room was quite and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in at any hotel. I also really enjoyed the included breakfast options and the polite staff. The subway station is close, and the hotel is located in an area that made it easily accessible to many landmarks. I will definitely be returning to this hotel next time I'm in New York City.

The hotel was well situated, but the superior room we paid for was extremely small, barely room to put our luggage, we had to ask for a coffee machine, and only plastic glasses in room. The included breakfast was very limited (one beverage and either a croissant or egg sandwich per person). The complimentary water bottles and clementines were appreciated though. The hotel is located right next to the museum of sex, so beware of weekend parties that extend onto the street! Screaming people and police sirens from 3 to 5 am on sat during our 4 night stay! The property was nice and the restaurants in the hotel were great. The only issues were that anytime the shower was turned on the drain pipe would smell like sewage and the cafe for the breakfast needed more options for drinks like water/not coffee.

We had a great stay at the Evelyn! It’s centrally located and convenient to everywhere in NYC. The hotel is delightfully decorated in deco style and our room was spacious. Free morning coffee and take away breakfast was convenient. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
