Great place , rooms are small but highly functional. You just need a place, this is perfect. Best for solo travelers, if you have a big family, you won't fit in one room and may need a few rooms or you may need to stay at a more "traditional" hotel. Great places to eat down the street. Shake shack right 1 block down. Win!

I was there for a solo trip and this place checks all the boxes. I’m used to the tight spaces associated with nyc living, and this definitely fits the bill. As expected with a place called pod, this is a small room, equipped with full bathroom, safe, twin bed, hangers, and desk. Only thing missing was a mini fridge. It’s absolutely perfect for nyc on a budget or brief trips where youre not looking for lavishnes. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The amenities were great to get you going including free coffee in the morning and gym day passes to the blink around the corner. The rooftop bar is beauitful and a great place to get your work done during the day because no one really utilized it. There was exterior construction during the day but that didnt disturb any of my sleeping hours.

One of the best bijou chic hotels I've ever stayed in. Front of house house kind and courteous. Room cleaned everyday and beautifully presented each evening i returned. One comment about room 609, my room, the air conditioning was a bit noisy but hey, just switch it off

The location is just fantastic. Can’t be beat. Close to grand central terminal. The rooms were clean. The service was excellent. The area felt very safe and super convenient to get around by foot, Uber or subway. The only negative is that while it is understandably a “pod” there could have been a more private partition between the bed and the bathroom rather than a half opaq-ish glass sliding door. No locks on a bathroom that has a sliding door was weird. Plus no vent fan in the bathroom makes for a not so ideal situation. Would definitely stay here again!! Good job Pod39 team!!

My stay at POD39 was pleasant and comfortable. The staff were friendly and responsive. The first night we arrived there was an issue with the toilet not flushing but it was resolved immediately and there were no problems for the remainder of our stay. The room that we had on the second floor did not have any natural day light due to the layout/structure of the building as the windows faced the rooms on the other side of the hotel building. The upper floors get plenty light though from my previous stays with POD. Overall, this was a wonderful stay in a great location, reasonably priced, and very friendly service. Highly recommended.
