Basic hostel with good branding in great location

To be clear: this is a hostel that provides the bare minimum in terms of service, comfort, and privacy. It's the Spirit Airlines of Manhattan stays, with better branding. If you're okay with this or if you get a steal of a price, have at it! Especially if you're young! Otherwise, spend a bit more for a standard hotel experience. Also: there is no elevator. Would have been a dealbreaker if I had known.

Great, very economy super cozy stay

It was a quick trip and I needed a place to crash. I need to read the fine print and/or pay attention to what’s not mentioned…like private bathroom, elevator, etc. but the stay, price, and location are superb.

Good option for solo travelers

This hotel is a pretty interesting modern take on a mix between a hostel and a pod hotel. I chose the Women only floor and the other women staying there were polite, friendly, and quiet for the most part. Guests seem to be respectful of the rules (no phone conversations, no music or loud content of any kind) since the rooms don't really have a ceiling. The shared bathrooms were always clean, and the cleaning staff came by every day to the common areas. I think its important to note to other women choosing the Women + floor that some of the cleaning staff is male and they do come in different times of the day. I did not have an issue with the male staff but I believe its important to note if you chose this floor for religious or personal reasons. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. Overall its a great place to stay if you need a place to sleep but would otherwise be out and about in the city all day. One thing all guests should be more mindful of is the doors-- they are pretty heavy and some people slam them at all times of the day which can get annoying if you're sleeping.

I loved this place - from the concept and decor, to the extremely helpful staff. The location is amazing and I felt also felt so safe as a female solo traveller. The one downside for me was unfortunately a major one. The doors in the rooms are so loud and very difficult to close without banging. So every night and morning, my sleep was extremely disrupted. You can make a place as cute and convenient as you want, but if you can't sleep, what's the point? I really hope they fix this because it's an otherwise brilliant place to stay.

This was my first time staying at Now Now NoHo Hotel, and I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially given how busy this part of New York can be. But I was genuinely impressed. The service, cleanliness, and sense of safety were all top-notch, which is especially important for a solo traveller like myself. Honestly, it turned out to be the perfect place for my stay. Highly recommended!

Great idea, execution could be better

You can hear EVERYTHING in this hotel. Not just your neighbors snoring, but people on the other side of the floor arriving late at night. The main reason being that you don’t have a roof technically. There are slats that are with about 3 inch gap in between each beam. I guess these are for airflow but what happened to fans? Walls are thin. Doors require a lot of force to close, which results in people slamming them shut. I love the efficiency hotel idea and the location is great. But as affordable as this hotel is it’s not worth the sacrifices you have to make. Especially when actual hotels the weekend I went was only around 50 bucks more a night on average

I had never been to NYC before my stay at NowNow NoHo and honestly, I cannot wait to come back. The Check-In process was seamless and I loved my room. It was just enough space for what I needed. It was in a great area with so many shops and restaurants all around, and super close to the subway so getting around the city and back was a breeze. The staff was great and it was one of the cleanest places I have stayed in. It was especially nice that the staff was cleaning so much and kept the bathroom area spick and span at all times, which made it feel like it was my own despite being a shared space. I loved my stay and will definitely be coming back in the future.
