Our room was small—even by NYC standards. The ventilation system ran constantly and was extremely loud. The AC leaked water on the floor, and the bathroom didn’t have any hand soap—nor did the desk in the lobby. Really poor imho.

Room is good if you just need someplace to sleep, nothing fancy and small. Needs updating but clean. I reserved a room with a private bathroom. The hotel staff didn’t engage but were pleasant enough when I spoke to them. There was a microwave and a small fridge in the room.

If you’re looking for a spacious room, this isn’t it, but it’s also not the point. Who goes to NYC to hang out in their hotel? It’s perfect place to rest your bones, recharge, freshen up, etc. It’s also not without its charms. Not sure what purpose this building used to serve, but you can feel the history of this revived walk up.

The location for this trip was ideal. I really appreciate the front desk staff taking our luggage at 9am. The hotel was very noisy, I had no hot water the last evening I was there and I got mixed messages regarding transportation to the airport.
