The staff was good but we had a leaky toilet when we got in there and they fixed it quick enough but with out cleaning up the water there. I felt unsafe and dirty right when I walked in and I’m in the process of getting my money back. We left within 20 min of being there.

Both male staff at Reception were extremely helpful and friendly, lwith one Reception member of staff very welcoming towards us on our return each night). Indeed, on checking in, when he noticed that we were a lengthy stay he sourced a high storey room for us. The housekeeping ladies too were a delight, and whilst we rarely saw them they ensured that clean towels, soap &c were always well stocked for our return home each night. Thank You ladies and gentlemen ! They are a credit to your company. We hope to return again.l

Actual hotel was nice, clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The washroom and room was spacious. could use some hooks to hang towels in the washroom, and ac/heater for the room to change the control. Hotel was close to subway station, but the walk between the station to the hotel I wasn’t comfortable with.

I recently stayed at the Capital Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was not up to my expectations. One of the most concerning issues I encountered was a serious breach of security. Someone else had the same key as me and entered my room while I was sleeping, which made me feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable. I hope the hotel takes immediate action to investigate this incident and enhance their key management system to prevent such incidents in the future. I would appreciate it if the hotel could also review their overall service standards to ensure guests have a safe and pleasant stay.

Just a bit tucked away (4-5 blocks) from food and transport to get 5 stars, but for the price it's definitely 5 stars! Also the staff were extremely nice and helpful.

The price of the accommodations was among the cheapest in the Manhattan/Queens area. The area between the metro stop and the hotel appears to be a bit scary with quite a few homeless people, but we were never bothered. The beds were very comfortable with quality linens and pillows. The room is sparsely furnished with only one nightstand and one table and chair. There is a refrigerator; a microwave is available on floor C, which is in the basement. The shower has plenty of hot water.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly. The bed was very firm and way too tall. I am 5ft and had to hop up just to get on it. You could also hear that there was plastic on the mattress under the bedding but it didn’t cause a problem like excess warmth so that was fine. The room is small with no walking room between the bed and desk if the chair is pulled out. The surrounding area is mostly industrial and “blue collar” with several car repair and parts shops and possibly warehouses and just your average apartment buildings with two to four units. There was a lot of litter everywhere. None of the above was much concern. What bothered me most was there was very limited restaurants in the area within walking distance. We looked at Google Maps and chose one but it didn’t exist anymore and some other business was there. We ended up Door Dashing. The Uber from JFK to this property was $75 at about 6p. Overall the lower price was worth it for me.

We stayed last Friday and checked out Monday. Unfortunately we didn't receive any house person to clean our room in our entire stay. We put that we need to have housekeeping but no one came. Sadly you will heard every morning all the spanish house person talking loudly in the hallway that makes you wake. Transportation is okay but surrounding is little bit off because all the creepy person.

Terrible!! The neighbourhood is not safe. The first night we hear screams of terror. The next day we asked if we could get a partial refund because we wanted to leave. The answer is no. After 2 nights Uber eats delivery at hotel we wanted to leave. The next morning a construction site next to the hotel started at 7 in the morning, this was for me another reason to leave. Still a no on my request for a partial refund. The hotel is a thief!! Rooms are nothing like on the pictures, only 1 nightstand at a 2 person bed, we use the chair as nightstand, no safe in the room, cold water, hairs in bathroom and bed from previous guest. All and all a terrible hotel in a terrible full of drugs and homeless neighbourhood. Also the streets are a filthy dumpster. Don't waist your money here.
