Not a great experience at this hotel. We requested room service to be done in our room but they never showed up. We told them we needed fresh towels, more toilet paper, tissue paper and body gel to be refilled in the room but never did, they came the next day made the bed a cleaned a little but never refilled the needed toiletries. Their Continental breakfast was minimal and lacked at many times refill of hot foods and coffee and one point they were out of coffee cups. Tables in the dining area were not clean. For a whole day one of the two elevators wasn’t working making the wait times long and tedious. Will not stay at this hotel

Some staff nice some indifferent. The parking is pretty sketchy. $25 a day in garage you have no direct access from hotel to. You have to walk around building and up elevator in a somewhat sketchy area. Bed nice. Clean rooms. Small bathroom. Street noise is pretty obnoxious. Especially on weekends.

This is a great place! It looked recently renovated. Our room smelled fresh, and we had a great view of NOLA. Some people complained about doors not latching-- our door latched. I'm not sure if this was an old issue that's been resolved or what. The complimentary breakfast was good. Also, the parking is truly not as bad as reviews led me to believe. There's a parking garage right behind the hotel that you can pay $25 a night to park in. To access the garage from the hotel, you just take a short walk down the street and a ride up the garage elevator. ANDDDD, if you haven't done the math yet-- that parking is still cheaper than valet. You can expect to pay for most parking in cities like NOLA. I get it sucks to pay for parking, but it could have been worse. Overall, I would come back here! It felt like a luxurious escape on a budget.

The room is nice The main problem is the the building and the location itself. It’s so loud all night and day you could still smell water damage throughout it specially on the lower floors but I’m assuming all of New Orleans is going to have that smell. It’s an old building so like the elevators are small or the stairs are not in like the best spot there are some improvements that could be made like the US.

I had 2 rooms reserved. Upon arrival, 10:30ish(early), we were told the rooms were not ready, that was fine. We returned to the hotel around 4:00 and was told that only one room was ready,they had to find sheets for the bed. Ok. We waited in the one room for a call from the front desk,which never came. Went back downstairs about 6 or 7 o'clock and ended up with a room on a different floor from other family. The toilet seat was broken in this room, so had to call maintenance to fix it. No water in rooms to make coffee and wasn't offered any. Requested water the next day, front desk didn't have any, told to come back later. Went down to breakfast on Monday, there was a line because the kitchen was not open at 7:00. Eventually opened almost an hour late. By this time there was so many people we were bumping into each other in that small area. I forgot to mention, Everytime I sat on the bed it rolled away from the wall. I kept having to push it back in place because it's not attached to anything.

Absolutely sensational hotel. I can’t recommend highly enough. Wonderful staff, super clean and modern and ideally located for the French Quarter and Downtown. I just love Hampton so much. Their attention to detail along with their cleanliness, comfort, affordability and style make them one of my favourite brands. The free breakfast and coffee is superb. 100% top marks. Thank you for such a superb stay.
