It was nice but the floor was really inclined very noticeable and a bit scary. Balconies where nice had the old feel to it. The double doors like balcony in the bathroom was letting a lot of cold air in probably should insulate the doors. But I understand that’s what comes with the authentic old school look of the outside of the building. The building itself was nice didn’t really check out the Terrance tho that’s on me. But the staff was great. Housekeeping was very nice. Front desk was very helpful. Location is perfect. Price was good it’s a good stay overall.

This is a really well located hotel for visiting the French quarter and surrounding areas. My room was large and the bed was quite comfortable. We upgraded to a room with a balcony which was a nice touch even though it was a little too chilly in January to sit out there. Everything worked well and was clean. This is an older hotel that could benefit from a bit of a face lift (the room was a little worn in some spots) however my husband and I still really enjoyed our stay here.

Staff was very helpful in recommending places to eat, and tours. Can't say enough about Rebecca's warm welcome and cheerfulness. If back in New Orleans, this is the place I would definitely stay.

Hotel staff is super nice and helpful. Hotel was clean. Only issue was our room seemed very unlevel (due to the age of the building and ground, not the hotels fault by any means). We had a balcony room which we enjoyed sitting on after a long day of sightseeing when the weather permitted. They did offer a room enhancement that I took advantage of for our anniversary which was a nice touch. The charge was more than expected but they corrected that with no issue. The neighbor seemed safe enough for walking with my husband but wouldn’t feel too easy walking on my own especially after dark if there wasn’t many others out walking. Location was very close to places that we wanted to visit. No need for a car if you are able to walk. Car would be difficult to drive around and find parking in most locations. All in all it was a pleasant stay and we had a great time in New Orleans French Market. The pool area is very nice. Pool is small but will serve the purpose of a quick dip. We just weren’t ever in the room long enough to use it.

I love the Richelieu. I’ve stayed here many times. Becky at the front desk was fantastic! Room was very spacious. The location was fantastic. Close to Frenchman and at the quiet side of the quarter. The temperature dropped outside and the room was freezing cold even with the AC off. The bottoms of my feet became black from walking barefoot in the room.
