The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable except the water in the bathroom sink would not turn off fully and there were a couple of wet spots on the carpet that were really wet when we checked in. Hopefully just water.

Check-in is later than most hotels, and our room wasn’t ready until 30 minutes after check in. We were pressed for time and this didn’t help our stress levels. Staff at the hotel and at the restaurant didn’t seem concerned with making customers feel welcome.

Grand old hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Rooms off of Bourbon Street are surprisingly quiet. Lots of interesting restaurants nearby. Close to tourist sites. Some streets around the property are closed for repair, but that should be expected. Overall, a good choice.

We’ve stayed here several times and really liked it. It would have been 5 stars across the board but they were having difficulty getting hot water to our room for 2 of the days of our stay. They worked hard to fix it but couldn’t solve the problem. The engineer who worked on our room worked so hard, we’d get hot water for a little while, then nada. Otherwise great hotel, close to everything, nice rooms lovely lobby, staff great!
