The room felt humid and smelled like mold. Heater didn't go higher than 71F, while temperatures outside plunged towards 20F. No real duvet or comforter; ony sheets. Asked at the reception; they didn't have anything thicker than sheets. Got 6 sheets. Heater was tried to fix, but didn't help.

The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and professional. I loved the body wash gel. The room safe was not working but even though they offered to fix it straight away I said not to bother as I wasn't using it anyway.

My family and I arrived in the French Quarter hours after arriving in Galveston off of a two week cruise- point is, we had NO clue about all the celebrations of Carnival until AFTER we arrived. The bedding is minimal. The first night I was freezing since there was no blanket on the bed, the second night I slept in my clothes. Absolutely ridiculous. The elevator, while always slow, wasn’t working when we went to check out so we had to climb down. Thankfully we were only on the forth floor.

The toilet in room did not work properly. Had to take top off to fill tank to make it flush. We called front desk about all the noise/yelling. People running down halls beating on everyone’s door. They said they would look into it but these kids were coming back from party and it’s to be expected. The noise and beating continued all night. Not likely to stay again. The employee didn’t seem very interested in problems.
