"We had a great time at Gary's house over New Year's. The proximity to the beach was what drew us to the property--only a block from the ocean in our favorite quiet neighborhood of Manzanita, just down the street from Nehalem State Park. We enjoyed the dog-friendliness of the house, and the living room with smart TV and comfy couch were great. We also enjoyed having a pool table in the great room, and we spent many hours upstairs playing games. We hope to come back sometime soon."

"Really enjoyed a couple of nights at Rivendell. The house was cozy and great for a few people and a dog. There was plentiful wood for the stove, the hot tub was FANTASTIC and we all slept great in the quiet, calm environment. One short block to access the beach and just a very short drive or easy walk into town. Kitchen had what we needed. "

"This is the third consecutive year that we've looked forward to kicking off the holiday season in this incredibly charming house. The owners do an amazing job of decorating: a wonderful tree with lights and ornaments, garlands on the mantel, and other thoughtful touches. Add in a roaring fireplace, the (inevitable) rainy evening, and a good book... it's just as "blissful" as the name of the home would suggest. All of my previous comments still apply of course: a well-appointed kitchen, exceedingly comfortable beds, a full washer and dryer, etc.Our dog Moose gives it two paws up as well with bowls for water and food provided, and a reasonably short walk to the beach.We'll be booking again for this time next year!"
