Planning a Napa Valley and Sonoma vacation can be advantageous in early summer, when new wines are released, but the Wine Country attracts tourists all year. The coldest months are usually November through April, dipping down to the high 30s in December and January, when the valley gets the most rainfall. The warmest months are May through October, only experiencing occasional hot days in the summer, usually not much higher than 80 degrees. Plan on bringing warm clothing for Napa Valley and Sonoma travel regardless of which season you choose.
