We had a wonderful experience staying at the Auberge du Vieux-Port. The location was perfect, right in the middle of Old Montreal, with all of its charm and history, essentially walking distance from restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff was exceptional, continually going out of their way to make we were taken care of/had everything we needed for our stay. Staring with the front desk, Terry greeted us upon arrival, and then walked us to his recommended restaurant for lunch. Bleeze, the reception supervisor, got us into the fully booked Gaspar restaurant, after a long day trip to Quebec City. And the Gaspar staff was amazing. Bottom line, highly recommended, and we would not stay anywhere else when future trips take us to Montreal.

I think I found my go to hotel for Montreal. Such a nice location, and beautiful hotel. Slightly expensive, but worth the cost. Definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel and the surrounding areas were great. Great central location for walking and biking in old Montreal. However, rooms at the back face a beautiful walking street that is quite noisey late into the night on Friday and Saturday night (bars close at 3AM). If you are on the lower floor like us, e.g. room 205, it is difficult to sleep with very loud music coming from nearby dance club. The front of the hotel faces the river.
