Our room was quite dirty. The refrigerator was yellow inside the cable wires for the television we’re sticking out of the wall, not connected, the manager did come in and connect it, but it was rigged and not properly placed. I ended up taking a shower and was creaking so much. I thought I was gonna fall through the floor.

Woefully unclean room. Black mold caked around shower head....top of shower stall has never been clean....doors with visible dirt and hand prints. Dead flies on the floor ....dried boogers on the bathroom walls...disgusting!

Counter service is poor. I called to change booking and was placed on hold for nearly 10 minutes (he said hold for 5 minutes) before hanging up and calling back. When I finally checked in the clerk at the counter was SLOW and eventually gave me my room key. When I checked out the next morning, again, REALLY SLOW. I got a no smoking room but it smelled somewhat smoking and the room seemed barren with the towels in the bathroom and I didn't see the wash cloth, until after my shower since it was on the outside sink. I've stayed at Motel 6 as a last resort and Motel 6 rooms appeared better and cleaner than what Quality Inn Salinas represented.

The man at the counter was very rude didn't even say hello when i checked in. My key didn't work and he acted like it was my fault for not doing it right but I've opened hotel doors many times and never had a problem. He was grumpy and should not be in customer service if he hates people. The carpet had stains everywhere, the fridge was disgusting, the bolt inside door was broken. Also there is way more rooms than parking so you will have a hard time finding a place to park if you get to your room late. I did not feel safe here and will never be back. I would advice to stay at the motel y next door. It looked clean and had plenty of parking and had a security outside.
