Odainia in guess services was amazing! She helped me make reservations for dining and gave me good spots to drive around and see. She made me feel very welcomed! Overall she is a genuine person and cares about her job and the guests that comes to ocean Eden adult only all inclusive hotel. The overall staff was great and polite. My room was clean and didn’t have a moldy smell to it! For once I had no complaints about a resort that I stayed at!

Disappointing Birthday Stay at Ocean Eden Bay – Not Recommended” ⭐⭐ I recently stayed solo at Ocean Eden Bay in Montego Bay for my birthday and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The resort is dated, underwhelming, and smelled of mildew and urine. I had a swim-up room with a king bed, but the accommodations alone could not make up for the lackluster service and unfriendly staff. The all-inclusive experience fell short. There are only a few restaurants onsite, and making reservations was nearly impossible. Guest services refused to take reservations over the phone, even during a storm, insisting guests walk to the lobby in person. During a visit to the souvenir store, I witnessed two cashiers screaming at a guest over an exchange—completely unprofessional and rude. This attitude seemed to be the standard throughout the resort. My attempt to book a spa day was met with the same dismissive and unhelpful service, so I opted out entirely. There were, however, a few standout staff members. Shantel and Latoya in the coffee shop were consistently pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. Two women at Martha’s Market also provided exceptional service—so good that I made sure to thank them personally. Their professionalism was unfortunately the exception, not the rule. Overall, the hostesses in the restaurants were rude, condescending, and off-putting, which made dining frustrating. One night I opted for room service just to avoid dealing with them.

Overall the property and stay were good. I'd recommend avoiding the free spa or goodies in exchange for their privilege sales pitch (the get you when you first walk in and we did not realize it!) as it took several hours and we were not interested in buying a vacation package. The food was decent especially for the price and overall the staff was accommodating and nice. We'd go back.

the resort was beautiful. The staff was not so friendly nor helpful. For most of the staff they seemed very unbothered and not polite with the exception of a few bartenders. 2 days in a row my room was cleaned but i was left with no washcloths, hand towels or towels. I called guest services multiple times and the second night they never came. I had to bathe with a large towel that i had left over so i wouldn’t miss my dinner reservation that i tried to get since i arrived sat but the hibachi spot was closed the whole time i was there until my last night. My refrigerator was not cold i told the front desk but no one ever came. The last night my toilet stopped working i didn’t even bother calling because i was so over it and just wanted out the hotel at that point. The first day when we checked in we starved for almost 2 hours because the restaurants were shut down and after getting misinformed by multiple staff members telling us everything was closed we found out there was a spot open. Overall beautiful and clean resort but the service was poor will not be back.

The rooms dated. Specialty restaurants were not available as advertised, mini bar only consisted of 2 beers, soda and water daily, no liquor. We received only 1 half pint of rum in the room upon arrival. Had to pay for beer if you wanted something other than Red Stripe, and the prices and sizes varied by restaurant or bar. Limited local cuisine at buffet. Food was not hot. The sports bar - bar closed at 11:00. The bar staff at the sports bar were very good - fun and attentive. The Route 66 "after hour" restaurant has a very limited menu of items with no alcohol beverages. Food was subpar. The highlight was the Marlin restaurant for lunch. However, they were closed for dinner 3 of the 4 nights we were. there. The main lobby bar and staff (Junior and Jason) were great. The Sugar Cane restaurant was a disappointment after several attempts to be seated. The hostess cutoff reservations early on multiple nights due to demand and staffing being unable to keep up. The food presentation was lacking. The oxtails were not that good. It was served with just rice & peas, no veggies or side dish. On the 3rd night the staff was made to wear what I would describe as plantain style (slave) attire. I was disgusted and very upset to see this. Management never contacted to discuss the complaint I filed at the front desk. Needs-additional staff, additional training, room modernization, umbrellas for pool, outdoor cabinet upgrade. Not enough space for full review.
