Okay for the night…

The area was a little sketch. Not ideal for kids. The lobby was small so it made it hard to wait when the line was long. The hotel looks like it was just remodeling but smelt moldy, the floors need repairs, the walls are damaged and the door was old. I was nervous about the room door locks. The bed frame is made of metal and noisy. The people are nice! We enjoyed Sean our shuttle driver. The shuttle is free which helped on getting to downtown. They also had security guard during the ride and round the building.

The room we had was clean it was a nice set up. We didn't have issues with noise but we where in the 3rd floor. I was worried after I read other reviews but it was a good place to stay. We had issues with the toilet not flushing but the front desk handles it. The front desk staff was very helpful. It was a decent price. It was a last minute stay so it meet our needs.

I made a mistake on expedia and booked the wrong date. A week later then the day i stayed there. Payed for two nights and only stayed one. Would not refund me.

Toilet ran and we didn’t have hand soap when we checked in. We had loud neighbors but I don’t blame the hotel for that but might be a trend for that location. Parking was free and had free breakfast.

Do not stay at this property. The whole place smelled of w**d and stale cigarettes. There were people on the property (not guests) loitering in the parking lot at all times of the day and night screaming profanities at each other at all hours. The men outside were cat calling all the women entering the building. One of our beds sheets had blood on it. There solution was to switch out the sheets. Our replacement sheets hate burn marks/holes like a cigarette had been dropped on it. We were scheduled to stay from Thursday to Sunday but found another hotel after that first night. The manager is very hard to get ahold of and is apparently not often on the premises as Expedia and myself are still trying to get ahold of them for refund. The only reason the staff gets 3 stars is because the lady that checked us in was very friendly.

Room was clean. Two groups smoking marijuana in the parking lot in their cars. Dirty hallways and walls. Full dirty plastic construction trash can in the hallways. Toilet ran all night. Room smelled like smoke. Not a well cared for or clean hotel.

Almost downtown hotel

The hotel is on the edge of the historic Brewer's Hill neighborhood which makes for a nice 15 minute walk down to the riverwalk. We found it easy to drive to the lake front and there was plenty of free public parking. The breakfast at the hotel was good too.

The place was not too bad. It was a weird set up like once you walk in you have a small kinda room that leads to a door that leads to your actual room. Which I found odd. Bathroom looked real good and ceiling was high so you can actually stretch and feel open since for me being tall. The knob that turns on the shower was hard to move to a point that you actually need two hands to move the knob to turn on the shower and heat up the water. TV was nice and bed was nice as well. The walls needs some work cause there was once an iron on the wall and they painted around it leaving the old paint on the wall. The one thing I do want to share as well is that when traveling through uber there was several drivers telling me that the area is notorious of prostitution. I did see some women wearing some questionable clothing that you would see in strip clubs. I thought I would share this since some ubers were talking about the area. There is a security officers on the property that were very nice and they were very polite too. Never had a problem with the staff they did their jobs and even asked if everything was okay.
