Smaller rooms but I traveled solo so for me the room was perfect. It was clean, it had a safe, iron with table, blow dryer, closet space, and a mini fridge. It met all my needs. Even with it being on Ocean drive I wasnt kept up at night when i wanted to sleep. Overall great stay. Would return for sure.

William and Fernando were the gentleman that helped me during my stay and they were phenomenal. Special mention to William, we wanted to go to the beach to watch the sunrise when we got back from the clubs at 6am and he gave us folding chairs and towels. He was so cool, so sweet, and such a nice energy to interact with. The hotel room itself was very simple, exactly what we needed (a place to sleep).. it was clean and aesthetic, a little small, but if that doesn’t bother you then i say it was PERFECT! i will be staying here again and again because the pricing, hospitality, and location are unbeatable, especially with Montanas in the lobby. I missed having brunch at Montanas, so I am hoping to come back very, very soon!

Location was great. Room was clean and staff was helpful. The room was a bit bare bones though. No dresser, desk or chair. Just two double beds and a nightstand with a fridge underneath it. So no place other than the floor to open suitcases to live out of them.

The location is great, but the room size is really small and for the price it is quite pricey! We are a family of four and got a two twin bedroom. The space was extremely tight, with no place to even open your suitcase and leave on the floor. No desk or table or even a chair! The bathroom was small with a sink that did not even have a ledge. Where does one keep their toiletries? Not even a medicine cabinet or a shelf to keep your tooth brush and paste! The staff were nice and everything else worked out. I would recommend that management at least put a shelf in the bathroom. I don't think they can do anything about the room size!

The location is obviously unbeatable, but the hotel itself is in terrible shape. The rooms are very small, the bathrooms even smaller and nothing has been renovated in a long time. Even the beds were bad, so much so that we barely slept. This was our first time in South Beach; we'll definitely go back but we won't stay at that hotel again.

Only complaint I have is that one of the staff signed my breakfast bill for me. So I was trying to read the tip portion and didn't realize it was an "extra trip," I was trying to get it up to a percentage and when it hit $20 they signed it as if I was taking too long. Later on that night I realized all the restaurants were similar, and this was additional gratuity. We had a back to back schedule so I couldn't bring it up with staff - and it was Christmas time so I figured a little extra for the staff - but still this is something that should be watched out for by visitors. It was a shame to experience this because beside this, the other staff was super friendly especially Israel. He gave us a tour of the place and was very accommodating. The restaurants provided discounts for staying at the hotel. The views, the ambience, the convenience of being next to a 24 hr CVS, and the Scarface theme was wonderful. Again it's a shame we experienced this from one of our waitresses because everything else was amazing.

Room was clean, bathroom needs updating, bar ia clean with good service. Restaurants and hotel staff are not in sync, mixed information on guest dining discount etc Hotel staff is inconsistent some very helpful and friendly others normt so much. Beach is a short walk. Christmas time was very festive and streets closed to vehicles for that week. Most places were alfresco.

The Colony Hotel has a great location—right on the promenade, which was very convenient for walking and exploring the area. The check-in staff member was extremely kind and welcoming, which made a good first impression. That said, parking was a bit of a hassle. We had to park a few blocks away in a garage that cost $20 per day, and walking several blocks with our suitcases wasn’t ideal. The room itself had some mixed aspects. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, which was a big plus. However, the shower temperature was very difficult to regulate—it was either extremely hot or very cold, with no easy balance. We also wanted to watch a movie, but the TV remote only worked to turn the TV on and off; none of the other buttons functioned. Additionally, there were no washcloths provided in the room, which was inconvenient. Overall, the location and comfortable bed were highlights, but a few maintenance and amenity issues took away from the experience.
