The location is in the downtown of the town. You can walk around the downtown thtas has shops, coffee shops and regional restaurants not fancy but excelent food. The breakfast is across the hotel and you can take different authentic "paisa" food. The hotel cozy, not fancy but the staff is amazing. As el Retiro is small town there is no Uber, only taxi from airport to the town. Outsid ethe down town you can find nice and fancy restaurantes.

This hotel is just a block away from the Central Park where you can choose among many restaurants from breakfast to dinner. The staff was very welcoming and resourceful at all times. You can have complementary coffee all day long and the facilities are very clean. Great experience overall, definitely a place to come back in the future.

We liked the fact that this property is a classic style with furnishings from days gone by, very charming. However, the property needs repair as it has problems with hot and cold water distribution. Plumbing needs attention as shower drain and toilet backed up on the first night. If you like to sleep late that will not be possible as there is construction next door, it feels like they are in the room. At 7AM the noise started and even Saturday. Lucky Sunday they did not work at the construction site. Last thing is it seems the bed has Bed Bugs! After our last my wife and I had bites that were very itchy and red on her neck and me on my arms. So sad as it could be a great place being blocks from the town center. We hope the new administration works on these easy to fix internal issues, regarding the noise they contractors must be more considerate….
