I got off to a terrible start when this hotel stranded me at Medellín airport. I had responded to hotel’s confirmation email to reserve their airport shuttle, @COP$140,000, and noting an arrival before check-in and request to store my bag. Got help from other hotels’ greeters at airport to hire a taxi (@COP$120,000, btw). On arrival, the male reception person at desk that afternoon, first blamed me for improper communication. Then cited breakdown in communication, supposedly, between Expedia, the HOTEL’S email confirmation to me and the “main” hotel, of the same name, which organizes things for both(???) Notably - and memorably - he offered NO APOLOGY. This coloured my feeling about this hotel, despite beautiful pool and wonderful breakfast. Ubiquitous room was cramped, but fine. Bright, with controllable A/C. Location was in a nice, quiet, upscale area (Poblado) but far from centre. Nearest metro was Industriales - a 35 minute walk or 10 minute Uber ride away. Hotel reception made ZERO effort to help orient guests (maps, directions, a little guide to the circuitous, mesmerizing neighbourhood, a list of nearby restaurants - dinner in the hotel was resto was bland, small and expensive.) I didn’t want to have to move, after my two nights, but I left this hotel to find a friendlier one in a more convenient location. It was a disappointing start to my first time in Medellín.

Very quiet neighborhood , with very little traffic , nestled into the natural wooded private section. The swing pool is gorgeous and made for f so one really great photos. First class service with 5 star treatment .
