Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. The Austria Hof is a charming place to stay in Mammoth—old world character but with modern amenities. I stayed here for 2 days in the summer. The front desk staff were engaging and kind. Room was super comfortable. I really appreciated the filtered water dispenser next to the front desk—perfect for filling water bladders and bottles before hiking. Also, it is conveniently located right on the Mammoth Trolley stop so no need to drive into town.

Have stayed here before and love it. Large room with a fireplace. Very clean with nice amenities. Very quiet. We really like this place and will stay here again. Hopefully the restaurant will be open next time. The menu looks amazing.

Excellent location, excellent staff. Had a great time. Only complaint is that our shower /bathtub could use some maintenance. Room 101. The water continued to come out of the lower bath spicket partially, which took away from the shower head pressure. Nothing that would prevent me from having an overall great time. Would stay here again. Just an observation. Thanks for having us and will be back.
