Overall, great place with great amenities! The breakfast was FANTASTIC! So many options. The only complaint is that the room was warm so we ended up turning on the air conditioner in the middle of the winter. The beds could be more comfortable. We will absolutely stay again!

This is the worst holiday and express that I ever stayed in and I stay in a lot of Holiday inn Express. In fact I had just stayed in Holiday inn Express and Joliet Illinois and it was excellent. This hotel in Madison was horrible The staff with terrible. The room was a disaster I had to ask for sheets to cover up the sofa and the chair they need to be thrown out in the dump. I couldn't believe this hotel it's unbelievable. The light didn't work in the shower The toilet leak who's in charge there. Nobody probably.

I called three different times to secure an early check in (my grandson’s concert started at check in time), and while others got it, we were not able to. In a no smoking bldg, we were practically choking on the smell of smoke in our room. I was too tired to call anyone, so I can’t be sure what the staff would or could do. The restaurant food was quite good and the room was pleasant with comfy beds.

The hallways were dirty (cigarette butts in the hallways). The room - windows were filthy, window frame was warped/bent, hair dryer was melted and pieces were separated, toilet was installed crooked (how that even happened is beyond me), a mirror may have been on the wall at one time but appears it was ripped off and the remnants of the hanging mechanism was left behind.
