The motel is a bit dated, but it is very clean and quiet, and about the best value in Mackinac City.

Clean and cozy! Loved the vibe inside, plus totally walkable to the main strip, Shepler’s ferry, and any of the local restaurants. Check-in/out was remote too, no hassle or worry at any point. Price is super fair for a simple little place to stay!

One of the best places in Mackinaw to stay. Rooms are clean and staff are helpful. Takes time to get use to the no contact check in and code to enter room. Once you get it, I really like it. Very nice place to stay.

A clean room, with easy check in and accessible by keypad. Average bed. Decent small bathroom. Not a fancy room, but adequate. AC was adequate, but had to work hard to cool the room in the hot weather. My only gripe is that the curtains do not keep the light out.

Had to ask for towels , no towels in the room. Shower head felt like pins and needles, very uncomfortable. Very sharp stream. Only one setting. Alot of sand on the walkways around rooms, impossible to enter room without bringing in sand. No pool

This was by far one of the absolute best motels we’ve stayed at while traveling cross-country! Nope, I lied… it was the best!! A cozy room that was very well maintained with all of the amenities we needed. I’m a big fan of the smaller establishments and the ease of parking directly in front of your door. If you’re looking for a spot to stay I highly recommend you consider resting your head here at the Vindel Motel!

The room and the property were very nice as usual. But I was very disappointed that the pool had been filled in. Also, things have changed for check in. Apparently there is no one on the premises most of the time, and there is a sign on the door for a number to call. I guess we missed the personal touch that we experienced in the past. We will not return.
