Although the rooms are dated, they are clean. The morning doves/pigeons are a nuisance on the balcony which should be addressed by the property because of the diseases that these birds carry. I was surprised that no coffee is provided in the rooms, only available at a charge down stairs. Paying $190.00 US per night, you would expect that something like coffee is availble as a starter, which other properties on the island do provide.

Unintended Stay with Hurricane Erin

Very good experience. Clean facilities and good choice of restaurants just outside your door. The pool and ocean and large and easily accessible. I cant say enough about the hotel staff - Great people!

We had a very nice stay. The kitchen was very well stocked. Everything you need to cook and clean. The price was good the suite was pretty big and loved that although it had a high occupancy it didn’t feel crowded. Loved the peace and quite and that it’s literally on the beach. You can go swimming in the sea great viewing of planes landing and taking off from wherever you are on the property

Poor service by a power hungry manager

Our check in lasted over 1&1/2 hrs, we found booking thru 3rd party we are always assigned the inferior rooms. We requested a nicer room never got it (we were told that if we withdrew a previous review from the previous stay a week earlier that we would be given a different room by Ms Lena the manager.) We went to see the room at 2:30 pm it was not made up or cleaned, check out time is 10:00am. We did not move. Royal Islander Resort is part of RCI vacation rental.

We have found that booking through 3rd party that we are given the most undesirable rooms. We asked for another room after waiting for an hour and a half for a manager to respond, we ended up keeping the room assigned to us with a promise of being moved first thing the next morning. I was told that if I withdraw an earlier review on our previous stay by Ms Lena the manager, the room was not available at 2:00pm, we stayed in our assigned room. This resort is a part of RCI vacation rentals.

Amazing views of Maho Beach with planes landing as well as the sunset! Close and convenient to a grocery store as well as tge shops and restaurants in Maho village. Fair price for a perfect location!
