This hotel totally surpassed our expectation. The room was beautiful with a stunning view. The restaurant which is run by the owners produced one of the best meals of our trip. Excellent value and very convenient for the fort if you plan to visit

The North Star is an excellent place to stay in Louisberg! The accomodations are amazing- the ocean view units are spectacular.The decor is beautiful throughout. The restaurants serve wonderful local food. Highly recommended!

North Star was so beautiful . We had an ocean view room which was amazing ( thank you Mrs MacDonald for the upgrade) . All the staff were awesome especially Colin and Justin who own this wonderful resort. All the staff never stopped seeing that everyone was well looked after. Hope one day to go back for longer, already miss the place.

Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. Beautiful room. We chose one with a kitchenette & ocean view. Cute balcony with bistro table and chairs overlooking the ocean to have coffee, tea or wine. Comfy bed & lovely decor. We fell asleep to the sounds of the waves. Calm & soothing for the soul. The hosts were fabulous. The restaurant was amazing. So delicious & very reasonably priced. Such a gem!

Clean room, nice location (right near Louisbourgh fortress), quiet, restaurants on site, tasteful beach-inspired decor, spacious room, friendly &helpful staff. Very firm bed. Very small bathroom mirror - hard for shorter people to apply makeup. Our room included dishes, cutlery, microwave, kettle, coffeemaker, bar fridge.

The hotel is located on a point 5 minutes from the Fort of Louisburg. Each room had its own entrance and was beautifully decorated. We had dinner in the restaurant which also had entertainment. The waiters looked familiar and had Scottish accents. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. There was lots of parking and we could see the Fort of Louisburg from our window. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we ever came back.
