Don't believe the high rating, place is BAD &moldy

The worse place I have stayed at this year, there's better budget motels in LA: Fiesta Inn, Bell Manor, Travelodge. The manager Deo & a younger guy were rude & had the audacity to have a verbal altercation with me & follow me yelling outside after checking out. I got 2 calls to the room between 10-10:40AM. It was Deo pressuring me to checkout b4 11AM. He explicitly said: "Checkout is before 11, NOT at 11AM, you have to be out of the room by then!" when I told him that I still had an hour before checkout & so when I checked out I asked him why he was rude & pressuring ppl to leave before 11A especially for a place that had mold. I was traveling with 3 kids & they kept complaining of how bad the room smelled; & my eyes/nostrils burned. We sprayed all kinds of stuff & opened the door to dissipate it & the place still reeked like mold, cigarettes & urine. I asked the housekeeper if all rooms smelled like that; she said it was the AC, "NO it was not! Dao yells at me that if I didnt like it why did I stay until 11AM; still complaining about my checkout time, so ridiculous! He refused to give me his name, but the other guy gave it to me. & threatened to not give me my security deposit back bc he was upset. I felt like machismo or racism was at play. He was yelling at other Latino employees beforehand & when I was leaving I asked them if he did that often, "YES!" he does! & a day B4 some guests asked me if they could leave their luggage in my room bc they didnt want to hold it 4 them

The rooms appeared to be cleaned, but closely looking around the sink had hair on top along with the shower, the sheets were dirty upon one visit without complaining, they seem to always provide only one wash cloth and twice had an attitude when asked for a additional one, the rooms had no microwaves inside only the one at the front desk in which you have limited time to use because they lock the door early and uses that excuse for not being able to warm your food, so don't even ask. The only good thing is that the price was really great for a nightly visit. If you can deal with the nice negative service and attitude that comes along with your visit.

They day was booked in error i did not want a refund. I just wanted it to be for the correct day and they would not do Rap for me. Therefore, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

When I arrived, I was surprised by the $100 deposit — honestly, a bit steep. Once I got to the room, I immediately checked the sheets (something I always do), and unfortunately, I found hair on them. I also checked the bathroom, only to discover hair in the tub as well. To say I was disgusted is an understatement. I went to the front desk and calmly explained the situation, even showing the staff member the pictures I had just taken. I wasn’t asking for a room change, just clean sheets. However, instead of truly listening, he seemed more interested in brushing off what I said and assuming the rooms were clean. I stayed respectful, not upset or angry, but it felt like he was only listening to respond rather than genuinely hearing me out. ( he did give me a new sheet though and he wasn’t a bad guy he just need to listen before over talking a customer and not assume that they’re just saying anything) No guest wants to pay for a room and then find dirty sheets or a dirty bathroom. Cleanliness should always be the top priority, regardless of the price point. Unfortunately, my experience made it clear that there’s no real standard being upheld here.

The motel is your typical motel, but with less "perks." So there's no microwave, iron, or an in-room coffee maker. On top of that, the ice maker didn't work. Tbh, I dont see what the hype (all the positive reviews) are about this place. Especially when its so generic. Besides that, the proprietor was rude from the moment that I checked in. Very condescending. For someone who is in the business of hospitality, he should've known better.
