We had booked two rooms, it took ages for us to check in and we were unable to have the rooms on the same floor. There was work being done in the room next to us so every morning we woke up to drilling. The bed was brick hard and the quilt was too small for the cover so you ended up with just a sheet.

The staff were basic polite, the room was tatty and needed updating. The heating was broken but noisy and the room was severely overlooked by the offices next door. On leaving our room we waited almost 10minutes for one of the 4 lifts to be going the right direction and have room for us. We took the stairs in the end. Poor all round for the price we paid. Location was the only good thing.

In the middle of the night( 2am)our heating thermostat went haywire and the room started to cook at around 84F . We woke up coughing and sweating. When I called down to the front desk they sent a technician up. He was supposed to fix it on a panel outside the room but said he needed to come in. He was wearing a mining helmet with a led headlight. He came into the dark sauna of our room like a caving expedition. The thermostat was hanging off the wall and he said “ think it’s broken.” We had the rest of the night with all the windows open and the fan on ( Nov/Dec) and we were still hot. Didn’t sleep all night. Noise from outside was disturbing as well. We asked for a refund and they took £30 off our 3night booking. Utter crap.

Great hotel with a great view. Restaurant downstairs was pretty average, fairly high prices for basic food, but nonetheless, everything was great. I had a really great time at this hotel with a nice view of the London bridge. Just FYI, the hotel is under the London Bridge. There’s a staircase you have to take to get there if you are walking from the train station. It was pretty hard for me to find it, but after a couple tries, we managed.

Room was clean but the shower had pink mold. Heat was not working but they supplied a small radiator for heat. Hotel is currently in the middle of much needed renovation which we discovered upon our arrival. Lots of noise during the day. Location is prime so we chose to stay.
