It was very clean, large and well organized. Beautifully decorated and everthing worked well. It had everything we needed. We were very comfortable and it felt very homie. Located on main street but we could not hear any strreet noise. There is a very charming coffee shop directly below opening soon. We got to sample and the iced coffee was delicious. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again!

What a cute property. I stayed for 6 nights and was very happy with the apartment. The host was super responsive and the property was just as nice as the listing. I told all my family about it and we hope to come back in a few months for the start of fall. Definitely a great option when traveling to/around Lafayette county.

We were looking for a Girl Trip location in KC. When we saw this cute upstairs apartment, we decided to trade the city location for a "historic small town" adventure. We are so glad we did! The location was convenient, about 30mins from Liberty/KC. The place was very clean and offered extras like a blowup mattress/extra bedding. Owner was great with communication. It was fun staying on main street. We walked to antique shops and a few boutiques. Be sure you grab a delish coffee and peruse the bookstore a few doors down. We were in walking distance from many restaurants... the Feed Mill, Ten Twelve (a gorgeous old bank turned restaurant) and a Mexican place was right across the street. This feels like an up-coming town with a few empty shops in between the current ones. Lots of room for city growth/new biz. Would be a great setting for a Hallmark movie with the amazing architecture everywhere. We took many walks to look at the old buildings and enjoy reading the historical plaques. Lots of Santa Fe Trail and War History to discover. I think there is a museum or two, but we didn't go. As we were leaving on Sunday they were setting up for "Second Sundays". It looked like a Farmers Market with people playing music and the downtown shops open to the public. Wish we could've stayed for it!

The property is absolutely wonderful & includes private entrance next door to Baileys. The downstairs coffee shop was a concern prior to booking since we are not "early birds". No issues with noise waking us. It was quite nice to walk downstairs & enjoy coffee & lunch. The unit included security locks with chime when the door is opened/closed & auto-lock. This convenient & reassuring feature provided easy access while giving peace of mind that we would hear if anyone were to enter. As the unit is upstairs, anyone with mobility challenges must keep in mind the property requires ascending 19 stairs to enter. It is located in a small town with friendly locals. The space is thoughtfully designed with a blend of history & modern comforts plus view from both bedrooms of the historic courthouse with cannonball still embedded in column from 1861. Clean & inviting unit features original brick accent walls; hardwood floors; antique decor with modern comfy leather couches; electric fireplace with switch; TV in living room & bedrooms; ample kitchen equipped with full-size stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster oven, coffee & tea makers, & dishes/kitchenware; spacious bathroom with refreshing shower & vanity converted from old dresser; extra linens, blankets, & pillows; comfortable bed; basic toiletries; big fluffy towels; fans/air filters to maintain fresh air & provide white noise (great for sleeping!) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend this rental.
