The location isn’t great — it’s pretty far from everything and on the outskirts of the city. The staff, however, was excellent and very accommodating. The main reason for the poor rating is that our AC/heater unit started smoking and nearly caught fire. Fortunately, my wife was awake and we were able to turn it off in time, but the entire floor filled with the smell of smoke. The staff quickly moved us to another room on a different floor and offered free breakfast, which we appreciated, but by then we were too shaken to sleep or turn the heat back on.

We made a last minute reservation at this hotel on Thanksgiving and we were pleasantly surprised, especially for the price. We were greeted by Chad who was very friendly and welcoming. He provided a handwritten list of local restaurants that he recommended, and told us what each of the restaurants offered. It was Thanksgiving so he wasn't sure if they would be open but let us know that in case we weren't able to find something that they had some sandwiches available. The hotel was clean, orderly, and well equipped. All of the staff we encountered was really friendly and personable. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay there again should we be in that area in the future.

The hotel is new and in great condition. The access to the interstate is a bonus. After staying here we will include Holiday Inns in our searches for hotels. Really glad we stumbled upon this gem!
