Our stay at the GrandWest Arashiyama was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean, reception was incredibly helpful, and the location was quiet and idyllic. During our stay we made the most of the amenities including free refreshments, a washing/drying machine, and a cute cafe situated just downstairs from the hotel entrance. Our stay here was easily one of the best parts of our trip to Japan and I highly encourage those visiting Arashiyama to consider this hotel!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were kind and welcoming, and the location was perfect—peaceful, not noisy or crowded. There were many sightseeing spots along the street leading to Arashiyama Station (JR), which made exploring the area very enjoyable. The hot bath was very relaxing, and the bed was super comfortable.
